Post COD 5 ? You be the judge
Will Cod5 destroy Cod4 ?
By ibleedv20

More than rumour has it that Treyarch will be releasing the next installment in the COD series in late 2008.What the impact on COD4 will be is a matter for serious discussion. With Treyarch's track record in the COD arena defined by the COD3 release it is debatable whether this release will an honorable addition or an ugly patch on the ass of a fine FPS.In my opinion, anything less than a stellar product could damage the focus of the COD comunity and cause dilution of commitment when the best is yet to come.Obviously dollars and cents are whats at work here and in a pure business sense Activision has to go where the profits are.But here is a warning to all committed Cod4 community members. If this game is as poorly created as COD3 do not become an advocate of it being a true addition to the series. We deserve the best product for the dollars we spend and should accept nothing less than the highest standards.

The increasing trend of porting console games over to PC is a trend that is unstoppable based on economics and the growing capabilities of the PS3 and Xbox360.So what can we PC gamers do to help ensure that we get a quality product and dont become dinosaurs in the gaming world? That is the million dollar question.Naturally the greatest force driving gaming companies is economics and in response your greatest power lies in your wallet.Dont buy a game that doesnt live up to your own expectations.Be an educated consumer willing to match your own personal investment with the quality of the games you buy.Are we PC gamers already doomed due to low PC unit sales when compared to console sales?I hope not.I would like to think that in every developers heart there remains a healthy respect for the deep hobby that PC gaming can be.While console gaming is improving it is light years away from PC gaming in terms of depth of craft.

This next installment will take us back to WWII and that is just fine with me.The Pacific campaigns were not explored and truly represent some of the best military history we could hope for.So lets keep our fingers crossed that by the end of next year we will have the problem of trying focus on two of the finest FPS games ever released.

OMG :o !. This is what I have been telling to all the guys that buy those mega-hyper-expensive computers or U$D 650 video cards or games for U$D60, knowing that in less than a year the price will fall to almost half of it. To sum up:
- FIGHT FOR YOUR CONSUMERS RIGHTS :!:
- YOU ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT IN THE MARKET CHAIN. IF YOU DON´T BUY WHAT THEY SELL, THEN THE CHAIN WILL BREAK AND THEY WILL LOSE :!:
- BE AN EDUCATED AND SMART CONSUMER :!:
- SPREAD THE WORD AMONG THE OTHER CONSUMERS :!:
- REMEMBER: YOU ARE THE CONSUMER AND YOU HAVE THE POWER :!:
