Post seta sensitivity
Sup guys, FYI - I am fairly new to config tweaking. I just got COD WW and used yitchww1 as my config template. The question I have is about the seta sensitivity. My original config has the sensitivity set to 13.1696 which is way higher than any other config I have seen (I did not tweak this value it was given to me via the in game UI setting). I do like a pretty sensitive mouse, but does this value seem ridiculous? Can someone give me the low down on seta sensitivity setting in general? I want to set up the toggle for my personal pref, but don't really understand what the value itself means.

Thanks for your help.

damn drop the sensitivity on ur mouse. if u have a 800dpi mouse -1000dpi mouse use seta sensitivity 2 if you got a 1200-1600 dpi mouse use 1 if u got a 2000 or 4000 dpi mouse use 0.7 or 0.3. i like to be able to make a 180 degree turn with 1 cross of my mouse pad(standard size).

Damn that is a high sensitivity! Evidently Sanity moves his entire arm, but I tend to just flick my wrist. Even so, my sensitivity is only around 5.5 at 2000 dpi. If my sensitivity is higher than that, my precision is all but gone.

try it out u wont like it in the beginning but it will help u aim, for 2000 try 0.4 if u have razer set win speed to 10,accel to off and master sensitivity to 10 on x axis and y axis.

You cant just say you should use a low senisitivity.
There are different types of gamers.

Since most pro gamers seem to play with a low sens a lot of people think they need a low sens too.
Even I tried a low sens for like a month but for me it was almost impossible to do reaction shots and I got a tennis arm when I played too long (not really but it hurt).

Right now I have my sens at something like a mid sens (3) and I can do more than one turn on my mouse pad, rather 1,5-2.

Id say you should play with different settings for a while and keep watching your scores.
My score increased noticably when I set my sens higher again.

So I guess the problem is I am not taking advantage of my mouse. I have always used my G5 mouse on its middle setting and then would set the mouse sensitivity in the COD UI to where I am comfortable (which appears to be 13-15). If my G5 is set to its highest setting 2000 dpi then a sensitivity setting of ~3 seems good.

Man, going all the way across my mouse pad to turn 180 would drive me crazy. F-ing tennis arm LOL! That kills me! I am more of a flick my wrist kind of guy too. To each is own though. We all make it work. I, on the other hand was making it work with like 800 dpi when I could have been using 2000.

Thanks for the discussion guys. Alway appreciated!

Why do you set the dpi down?

When I bought my G5 my thought was if they let you choose between three dpi settings on the fly, then I should keep it in the middle and have the choice between a lower or higher dpi in the game. In other words, I didn't really think it through and I don't recall ever changing it in game. I have always played with it in the middle setting. So to answer your question, you probably shouldn't set it down. You should probably take the route ya'll have taken and set your sensitivity down, not your dpi. Unless you play drunk or hung over, in which case all logic goes out the window.

If i use that setting I need sensitivity 0.6 and im not even using my whole arm. (I hate getting a tennis arm)
Normally I use razer speed 10; win speed 3, ingame sens 2.

Now Ill see if 0.6 @10 is better.
Its funny that I felt exactly the same sensitivity to be "right" as the one I calculated later 10/3=3.333333333333
2/3.33333333333333 =0.600000000
with a precision of several numbers behind the comma. (sry i wrote statistics today)
