Is anybody able to get onto the IW forums at the moment?

It seems like it's been the unofficial Boycott HQ over the past couple of days and now its been down for hours, with an SQL error: too many connections.

Maybe a DDOS attack? Maybe a power outage since there are high winds in LA? Maybe they got sick of all the people protesting their decisions?

Maybe I'm just IP banned though, can anyone else get on?

Well after all it was apparent that IW pissed off the Xbox crowd today by restricting their game types and taking away some weapons... I don't know to much about it... I'd just started ready about it when the forums crashed... Not sure if someone attacked it or if they turned it off...

It seems that IW is stepping on a lot of toes these days... OR this could be their attempt at media black out of sort?

I'd like to think we were actually getting to them and they RAGEQUIT their own forums

Maybe they had to do something to try and make it look like they weren't being discriminate towards pc users?

If they cut something from the Xbox version it was probably because of memory issues. They'll bitch if they cut a few guns, but they'll bitch more if the game ships and it crashes every half hour because of insufficient memory errors.

I wouldn't be suprised if it got DDoSed off the internet. I doubt that even a natural spike in normal traffic would bring down IW's forums. Although, considering the dedi servers fiasco it would be ironic if their own website "lagged out" so to speak. lol

Of course, if it was DDoSed, they'll probably never say anything about it. Script Kiddies that rent botnets from ppl so they can DDoS websites don't get their chubbies off unless the rest of the internet knows how 1337 they are. Its kind of like a no-negotiation-with-terrorists thing.

yeah i logged in there earlier today and it went fine but it crazhed again..

and xbox users? the only thing i know that they took out was HARDCORE HQs mode.. other then that xbox is fine.. atleast i think..
