Sure, alot of people knew, but alot more people didn't know. These people are the ones who don't pay attention to sites like BASH, that keep updated news reports on who is doing what in the industry. That is why my question was addressed more to those who did know and still bought the game anyway. I appreciate that some people didn't know about it and others did but don't care. I have no time at all for the latter group. As to people buying the game to try to unofficially add in server support or try to get round the limitations IW imposed. I can't help feeling that is missing the point. Even if they are successful, they are still supporting IW and Activision by buying the game. As far as I am concerned, IW deliberately castrated the PC version of the game and if they fix that in the future themselves, I would support them and buy the game. If they choose not to, I wonder how counter-productive it is for others to unofficially provide that support, thus (a.) letting them off the hook and (b.) potentially encouraging more sales of their deliberately flawed product. xXToYeDXx wrote: The way I see it is those who didn't buy the game have no right to complain. You didn't give them your money, as a business they will care less about your complaints then they do about the complaints of those who did buy it. I disagree completely. The only reason I didn't buy the game is precisely because of what they did. Before news broke about this I was absolutely going to buy it, so I represent a lost sale to them and they should be interested in that.

 Re: How do you feel?
Everyone keeps going on about the look, yer the look of the game is slightly better, but graphics don’t make a good game, game play makes a good game, A hacker you can’t deal with is not good, and on that fact alone it fails on-line. The spawn points are crazy too. They call it comeback, but spawning on top of the guy who just killed you ? No lean! Well I love to lean, the only reason it’s not in the game is cuze Xbox probably don’t have enough buttons on the controller lol. The thunder-bird effect, (similar to WAW) is not good for me. But that’s possible to fix with the FOV settings, oh sorry that’s also just been removed. Why? FPS is also now been caped to 65 or 80? So wtf ! They are not making this game for the PC guys. And for that reason I’ve all but for a few blips on-line stopped playing the game. I’m just glad I only paid £25 for it. If you really love the game your better of buying an Xbox. As for me it’s not a true pc game as I know it. Maybe cuze I been around PC on-line gaming, since it was 1st availible. But for me this just doesn’t cut it as a pc game. Even Quake had a console. And that game is well, over 10 years old! I also can’t believe they are openly removing fixes that the PC guys have found, to improve things a little for us. The Latest patches where not any fix, but another door slammed. 6 months and MW2 will be dead, on the PC ! Or they will try to entice us back with deli’s ! But by then for most it will be too late, And why should we line their pockets. With DLC, if they do ever make dedis available? It will not be as we know it. And for them to go down this road after they openly tried to blank us over, is simply lower than low. And my final thought is this, I will support a developer that Acknowledge My platform from the off, I also know the Xbox is king now in the gaming market. But that don’t make it better. My pc will blow away any Xbox any day again !!!! it’s all about the money. And who ever can for go ! A little profit to make a proper PC version of their game gets my vote Long live DICE

 Re: How do you feel?
I think it could actually be a decent game if iw listened to people rather than just dismissing ideas. it's been the biggest selling, and also most hacked of the cod series so far, imo. Surely they can see that iwnet isn't working as they thought it would, and the devs must be right pissed off by now having to make fixes every day,and patch glitches etc. What they need to ask themselves is"would this happen so much on dedicated servers running pb?,i think we all know the answer to that allready. All i see on mr bowlings twitter page is problems being fixed and updated, yet when i ask about when pc issues will be fixed,or when we'll get an update to fix issues,it's just ignored. After sales service is very limited it seems.
I also read that pc sales for mw2 account for only 3% of all sales,so with this in mind, i think they'll be reluctant to release another cod title on the pc platform,it just won't be cost effective for them.

 Re: How do you feel?
[ The way I see it is those who didn't buy the game have no right to complain. You didn't give them your money, as a business they will care less about your complaints then they do about the complaints of those who did buy it. Those who knew about the issues, boycotted it, and still bought it (and had no intention of trying to make it better via tuning or cracking) have no right to complain. Those who had no clue what was going on, like me, have the MOST right to complain. We weren't given accurate or honest information from the dev and publisher, and were suckered into buying a piece of crap by a dishonest marketing campaign that included alot of censoring of bad press and banned IW forum accounts for simply telling it like it is. Not to mention the large amount of youtube videos being DMCAed for simply showing that 402's remark reguarding cheats was complete BS, or those that simply show how laggy the gameplay is. They are actively silencing any bad press, and thus you can't expect everyone to be 100% aware of all the issues.[/quote] LOL. You are right that those of us who did not buy the game dont have the right to complain. in fact, we have every right to laugh at the one who did buy the game without proper investigation (plus those who had head of the problems but who bought it anyway). We dont have to complain, we just lay back and make fun of those who did, The one truest statement you made was that IW already has your money and dont give a blank about whatever complaint you have. Unless a world shaking event happens, this game is doomed to fade away fast in the minds of pc players. Unless you pull the disk out of your drawer, dust it off and fume in anger.

I' am totally not buying Lego Call Of Duty, thanks Activision for ruining yet another franchise by bleeding it dry.

Perfect. i noticed that out of about 450 people who rated MW2 on Amazon gave it an average rating of 1.5. Three hundred gave it a 1. That is as low as the ratings go. Reminds me of the words of a very old song "Since there ain't no zeros, hon, I'll give you a one." They should have zeros.
