BASH Episode 37 has been a long time in coming, but I think the outcome was worth the wait.
This special BASH Call of Duty Hall of Fame Inductee Ceremony Webcast features the talents of top modder {PST}*Joker of mycallofduty.com and BritishBulldog1 of the Heat-of-Battle mod .
Episode 37: Call of Duty Hall of Fame
SHOW NOTES
Welcome to BASH's special induction ceremony edition for the Call of Duty Hall of Fame.
I'd like to welcome today, two guests here on BASH who will help us understand a little bit more about our honored inductees. They're separated by nearly 5000 nautical miles and 10 time zones.
The outspoken moderator on the codboards.com forum, mikesmarauders and on raidersmerciless - and now the dev team leader for the Heat of Battle Mod which can be found on heatofbattle.net, BritishBulldog1, Tony - all the way from Essex in the UK.
................Howse it hangin Tony?
And we wind our way west all the way to California, where we have the the senior support team member of the eXtreme+ mod which can be found on mycallofduty.com, PST Joker is with us.
...............Joker have we got u hooked up?
One person who could not make it to the show, I think he's fighting
with a spirit from beyond the grave that is lodged in his new computer.
He's the moderator of our very own BASHBoards, he's also a pivotal
member of the Remember September mod for Call of Duty 2, Norminator
couldn't be here - we miss him as he's done a lot to set up the CoD
Hall of Fame.
All of you have been on BASH before, so our audience know all about all three of you, so we're going to skip the usual introductions and get to the heart of the matter.
The Call of Duty HALL OF FAME.
This is a concept those of us with BASHandSlash.com came up with to honor the massive amount of work that has, is and will be done in the Call of Duty community.
We couldn't think of a better way to recognize that work other than to permanently honor those in the community that have in the eyes of their peers contributed to the success of our hobby.
We have asked the community to nominate individuals for this Hall of Fame - they've done so and continue to do so.
And for the past 2 weeks our BASHandSlash.com senior council has been voting on the nominees to select the very first group that will head into the Hall.
Today - we will tell the world who those inductees are.
Before we start though, I want to be somewhat retrospective. We have come along way with Call of Duty. There has been an awful lot of work done by the community to get it this far.
Is it as successful as you all thought - or do you think it should have gone even further?
Are you surprised that the franchise has made a comeback - given the bad start with CoD2 and the poor reception of CoD3?
The Categories.....
CORPORATE
1. Matt Pruitt
# of nominations: 1
reasons:
Administers the IGN franchise site: Planet Call of Duty.
Brings us both the corporate and community point of view - but I've found that he bends over backward to tend to the issues of that community. It's very easy for someone like him to be a shill for the corporations that fund a lot of what he does - he's far from it and criticizes his benefactors when they deserve it. For that reason - i think he deserves to be inducted.

2. Grant Collier
# of nominations: 1
reasons:
Studio head at Infinity Ward, for making the call of duty games! Say what you want about him, but he's one of the guys who have made it all possible.
-----
3. Rudedog
# of nominations: 1
reasons:
owner of fpsadmin.com and fpsgameforums.com. Has been a active member of the CoD communities since the beginning. Rudedog was invited to represent the server admins at the IW coomunity meeting. He has never been afraid of telling the truth, unlike many other major "officials".
INDUCTEE: RUDEDOG
PLAYERS
1. Justin "Prank" DeMara.
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
currently with Team Pandemic, he is one of the top CoD2 players in the world. Arguably, the best sniper CoD2 ever produced. Best sniper: eSuba Czech player luckeRR
2. Theo "darkk" Tijsen
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
darkk is on Area51 and has played on the top level of CoD2 since it was released, cal-i/cevo-p/tgl-p.
3. Mitch Albrecht
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
He played on Wat ? gaming, Rival, GameWyze, smf, and has been with r3 (relentless) ever since. He is a great in game leader and is always willing to help with some strat calling
4. Cristin "Sassy" Prunka
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
Long time CAL admin and player - she has devoted so much of her time to help catch cheaters and better the game (both in CoD1 and CoD2).
Males dominating this category its truly ironic that Cris should win.
5. Joe "Nabore" Amorosa - staten island newyork.
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
He has played the call of duty series since the day it came out, and is arguably the best leader and strat caller to ever play. Joe does what it takes to get his team ready for anything.
Nabore should be recognized simply for his friendliness and willingness to help us noobs out there *in addition* to being a world class player. He regularly posts articles that many pros would never dare attempt (strats, tactics, configs...he writes quite a few things that *could* be used by his competitors). The combination of "game" and friendliness - puts him over the top for me. These are some of his awards:
CEVO CoD2 s1 - 1st place
SOTF 7 - 1st Place
GGL AC-2 - 1st Place
Gamespot CoD2 Tourney - 1st place
Cal-I season 2 - 2nd place
6. Mark "Wombat" Larsen

1st IonGamers BTP
1st CyberXGames
2nd CPL Summer 2004
2nd IGames Expo 2004
INDUCTEE: Cristin "Sassy" Prunka
MODDERS/SCRIPTERS
1. Joker
# of nominations: 3
Reasons:
He has not only been instrumental in the progression of eXtreme+ but has also shown extreme patience when dealing with clients problems outside of the boundaries of the actual mod support. Setting up numerous servers for personal or clan usage.
There are many other outstanding scriptors over at eXtreme and I would not like this to take away any of the credit that they deserve but the driving force behind this mod is without doubt been Joker.
He has also recently taken it on board to move the home of eXtreme to a much more user friendly site whilst continuing his support in the forums.
Many COD2 servers would have died months ago if it wasn't for eXtreme+. Joker is such a respected member of the COD2 community that he has even been asked to be the voice of the community at a future COD4 preview,
-----
2. Marc
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
Was a big part of the eXtreme+ mod, and now works with the great WW2X mod. Marc is always helping people sort their issues with his mod, and constantly improving it.
-----
3. Garetjax
# of nominations: 3
Reasons:
For making the original PAM competition mod for CoD1 as well as CoDTV (simular to HLTV). PAM is used by every major Call of Duty competition out there. Without it there would be no nominees for the PLAYERS category, as they all play almost exclusively on PAM. Many of the PAM features has been incorporated in to CoD4. Garetjax was also invited to the IW community meeting to represent the competitive side of the CoD universe.
-----
4. JackTheRipper
# of nominations: 1
Reasons:
He's the lead programmer of Unbound Forces and was the first one to get a custom weapon in-game. Everyone who has done it afterwards has followed his tutorial. Without his work we may not have had Remember September, Rise of the Resistance or Unbound Forces to look forward to.

for making the innovative Heat of Battle mod (www.heatofbattle.net) in COD1, which featured alot of things that were later incorporated into the expansion pack and even now into CoD4.
-----

Reasons:
for making AWE and various other mods. His mods are still very popular in the community, and his work can be found in nearly all MP mods for the COD games.
-----
8. Bullet-Worm
# of nominations: 3
Reasons:
for making the IW checksum workaround that IW couldn't figure out themselves. and for his continous support to leages with his PAM mod. Without the checksum work-around we would be playing on very limited servers when it comes to mods and maps
-----

1. Tally
# of nominations: 3
Reasons:
The guy is relentless in his passion for the COD series. He mods, is
extremely helpfull to everyone in dozens of tech support forums when
many many times nobody else bothers to even reply and he keeps things
interesting with his often times heartfelt and to the poiint debate on
numerous topics. To me he's a shoe in for this.
Tally is a controversial figure, but his help on iwnation.com, infinityward.com and many other sites speaks for themselves.
He has helped countless modders getting started and solving problems. He's also the man behind the first CoD 2 MP bots, which are vital for any modder when it comes to testing their work.
