Welcome to BASHandSlash.com. Below you will find the CoD4 multiplayer configuration files of many competitive players around the world.
If you are new to config "tweaking" you might want to read the paragraph on "Tweaking your player configuration file" in our New to CoD section. It gives you a quick explanation on what this is all about.

Added eSuba Mazarini and Paradox configs
Note: Paradox' config is probably one of the hottest commodities of the post promodlive era. Have a read here for BASHandSlash.com's community view of this config.
Also added Sanity's config. Sanity, BASHandSlash.com moderator, is a student of configs and is one of our resident experts on the subject.

Updated Team Pandemic's configs (Mar 09)
We have added and updated all the Team Pandemic configurations, in
honor of their CEVO-P S3 and GotFrag tournament wins.
There configs have grown since we last posted them.
I notice that prank` uses: seta cl_timeNudge "-15" in his. This
command is not supported in CoD4 and you might want to delete the line.
Nabore and TP gets a big thank you for providing the Team Pandemic
configs. Thanks guys you totally rock.

Added MavLP's config
Today we add MavLP's config to the Pro Config Database. For those about
to enter the DAMN-era of competitive modding, you may know that you can
tweak all the settings in DAMN through one of the main panels of
MavLP's mod. You do not strictly need a config, as the menu system will
override it. However, here's is Mav's config if you are curious what
the mod's creator uses.

The database:
How to use the configs you see here.
STEP 1.
Before you read any further, if you want to try out the above configurations, please make a backup of your own player profile folder. Just copy it in the same \players\profiles directory.
For example, if your folder was called "Playername", just copy the
whole folder and call it "Playername2", say. Now you can modify the
contents of Playername and if you bugger things up, you can always
revert back to the original saved configuration. If you don't
understand what I just said, do not go any further. Slowly, back away
from your computer and ask someone in your IT department to help you.
STEP 2.
Load the configurations above (right click on link and Save As) into the Playername folder.
Copy the config onto the existing config_mp.cfg.
You will need to make some changes to these configs of course.
The noobiest way to do so is to fire the config up
(select the Playername profile in game). Make the changes you need to
suit you and your computer in the game Options menus. Exit from CoD4
and it will save the changes you made. Next time you fire up, those
changes will be there.
What will you need to change? Player name for a
start. Your binds (unless you like the pro-player binds), your
graphical settings...keep as little or as much of what the pros have
changed.
