Ladies and Gentlemen Boys and Girls welcome to BASH this is your host Jock Yitch. We are with you again here on BASH to talk about all things gaming...as usual we have our prolific roundtable

Jim (rudedog) from fpsadmin.com
Michael (garetjax) from codtv.tv
PST*Joker from mycallofduty.com

How are you guys?

With us as well is the BASH army, out there in chatland...as you know we are live streaming to the internets. We hope to do this all the time now...Sundays at 7pm is our normal start time for the webcast...but we're on before that for a bit and we hope to carry on a bit after the cast as well to talk about all things CoD related.

This week we have a jam packed show. Just a recap for the CoD community:

a) It's been about a week since CoD:WW has been released in the states
b) We have the game now released worldwide.
c) We have had one major patch at v1.1 to address a few minor issues like the fact that no one could play on dedicated servers...little thing.
d) We have had one major malfunction at Treyarch - crashing out their master servers and somehow, some of us saw hours of gameplay thrown away as our XP's were reset to zero.

We're hopefully going to have some time to talk to that but first I want to bring on our special guest for the evening.

On his blog's masthead he goes by the title Microsoft's Gaming Apostle, he 's the community manager for PC gaming at Microsoft, he also has a wickedly funny and perceptive blog called

socrossblog.com

Ladies and gentlemen...Ryan Miller!

1. It's traditional to get our guests here on BASH to tell us a little about themselves, so Ryan, give us a bit of a gaming bio:

2. Explain your role as The Microsoft's Gaming Apostle/Community Manager for PC gaming.

- Why does Microsoft need an Apostle?

- What is your full title at MS?

- What prompted you to take on the role of reaching out to the PC gaming community.

3. PC Gaming used to rule the roost in digital entertainment.

But it is facing stiff competition from consoles. So much so that console games tend to outsell PC titles by orders of magnitude that is...10:1 ratios!

For me the biggest issue driving people away from PC's toward consoles is that PC's are too complex to hook up. Just look at all the PC specs found on Steam.

I want to go to the guys in the roundtable and find out what they think the major issues facing us PC Gamers are?

Ryan...what are the issues you think face us here and what can microsoft do for us and in turn themselves to re popularize gaming?

4. Tell me about the PC and Microsoft Live. What is Live (for those who haven't heard of it) and why will it be important for the PC's gaming future?

Why should I give MS my hard earned money to game in their environment rather than provide my local community server admin with the same resources (after all...he's the one with the Meth habit that needs funding)?

5. I keep hearing about PC - console convergence within a single gaming space. Who would that benefit? Why would console players even want to play against PC guys? Don't they know we would hand them their collective heads on a platter?

Why all the talk about putting XBox controllers on PC's? Isn't that like putting a rotary dial on an Iphone? Shouldnt we be talking about putting a mouse on an XBox...and why the heck hasn't that ever been attempted?

6. You have a blog called socrossblog.com - a blog about PC gaming. Is this a personal blog? Where are you taking it?

You do audio webcasts as well? Video casts?

You are so at ease in all these formats (printed word, audio, video)...is this just a natural gift that you can move freely from one medium to another or did any special training help you out.

7. Open mic for all the other PC community elite to ask questions....

8. What does MS have in store for the PC community - what do you see in store for us in 5-10 years?

Scheduled cannon fodder are:

PST*Joker:  maven modder from mycallofduty.com. one of CoD's best community modders.
Rudedog (Jim): he of fpsadmin.com. the server admin's best friend.
RMosher (ShockNAwe): concerned Clan Leader
Garetjax: Legend of CoD competitive gaming, modder and all around genius.

9. Questions from our audience. Hopefully there will be an audience. I can always dream.
